Florida mother charged with telling her daughter to beat up a pregnant 16-year-old BY KATE IRBY

Encouraging your child to physically fight another minor can count as child abuse. Knowing that the minor is pregnant just takes it to another level.

That’s what Celena Sherri Troupe, 34, is charged with doing on Friday. Troupe saw her daughter getting physical with another girl, who Troupe knew was 6-months pregnant, and encouraged her to keep fighting, according to an arrest report.

Video the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office obtained allegedly shows Troupe yelling “beat her ass!” She did not make any move to stop the fight for at least two to three minutes, according to the report. The pregnant girl was 16 years old.

Troupe has been charged with a felony count of child abuse. Neither minor was seriously injured in the incident, according to the arrest report.

She has been previously sentenced to a total of five years in prison, according to the Florida Department of Corrections, for convictions of grand theft and forgery. She was most recently released in April 2013 and has a tattoo of her first name on her chest.
